Privacy Policy

AI Economy Hub is a free collection of in-browser calculators, tools, and articles covering AI costs, workforce economics, and business model analysis. This policy explains exactly what data we collect, how we handle it, and your rights as a visitor.

Calculator inputs and tool usage

Calculator inputs never leave your browser. Every calculation on this site — LLM cost estimates, automation ROI, job automation risk scores, salary premium estimates, reskilling payback periods — runs entirely in client-side JavaScript in your browser. We do not transmit your inputs to our servers, to any AI provider, or to any third-party service. Closing the tab discards your inputs. There is no server-side processing of calculator data.

This design is intentional. AI cost and workforce planning data often contains sensitive business information — salary figures, headcount numbers, API spend — and we believe that data should stay on your device.

What we collect

We collect only:

• Email address (optional): If you subscribe to our newsletter via the email capture form on the site. We store your email address in our email service provider (Resend or equivalent) and use it exclusively to send AI cost, ROI, and economic analysis updates. You can unsubscribe from any email using the unsubscribe link included in every message.
• Anonymous analytics: We use privacy-respecting page-view analytics (currently Plausible or equivalent cookieless service) to understand which pages and tools are most useful. This collects approximate geographic region, browser type, and referral source. No cookies are set for analytics. No personal identifiers are collected or stored. We do not use Google Analytics.
• PDF/CSV exports: The export features (where available) generate files entirely in your browser. Export data is not transmitted to our servers.

Email newsletter

If you subscribe to the AI Economy Hub newsletter, we collect and store your email address. We use this address to send you periodic updates on AI pricing, model capabilities, automation ROI data, and related economic analysis — typically once or twice per month.

We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes. We do not use your email for retargeting, lookalike audiences, or advertising. You can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send; removal from our list is immediate.

No AI training on your data

We do not use any inputs you provide — calculator data, email address, or any other information — to train AI or machine learning models. Calculator computations are rule-based arithmetic running in your browser, not LLM inferences. We do not send your data to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or any other AI provider.

Cookies

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies. Our analytics service (Plausible) is cookieless by design. If you subscribe to the newsletter, a lightweight localStorage flag may be set in your browser to suppress the signup prompt for future visits. This is not a tracking cookie and contains no personal information.

Third-party services

This site uses the following third-party services:

• Vercel(hosting and CDN): Vercel serves static files and may log IP addresses in server access logs for security and abuse prevention. See Vercel's privacy policy at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
• Plausible Analytics (or equivalent cookieless service): Cookieless, GDPR-compliant page-view analytics. No personal data transmitted.
• Email service provider (Resend or equivalent): Used to send newsletter emails to subscribers. Your email address is stored with this provider under a data processing agreement.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):

• The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used.
• The right to request deletion of your personal information.
• The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
• The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise any California privacy right, email andrewjgaber@gmail.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. Include your email address (if you subscribed) and the specific right you wish to exercise. We will respond within 45 days.

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and UK GDPR, including:

• The right to access your personal data.
• The right to rectification of inaccurate data.
• The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten").
• The right to restriction of processing.
• The right to data portability.
• The right to object to processing.

Our lawful basis for processing your email address (if you subscribed) is your explicit consent at the point of subscription. You may withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing. To exercise any other GDPR right, contact andrewjgaber@gmail.com.

Data retention

Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe, after which they are deleted within 30 days. Anonymous analytics data is aggregated and not linked to identifiable individuals; it may be retained indefinitely for site performance analysis. We do not retain calculator inputs because they are never transmitted to us.

Children's privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact andrewjgaber@gmail.com and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the site after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. If you have concerns about a change, contact us before continuing to use the site.
